Well, was he born in 1924, or in 1916? It can't be both. My own reference books show the date in 1916 to be the correct one.

hardcover?

The article says his output was all paperback originals, but very early on some of his work came out in hardcover runs. For instance, I have a hardcover copy of Steel Mirror. But I don't know enough about the publishing history to be sure the hardcover came first.

Can anyone verify the Carr quote about Cloud Cuckoo Land ? No one would characterize Matt Helm's world as "unrealistically idealistic state where everything is perfect". Nitpyck (talk) 04:35, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
