What is Silent Jihad?

Praise be to Allah, who revealed the Book, controls the clouds, defeats factionalism, and says in His Book: "But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war)"; and peace be upon our Prophet, Muhammad Bin-'AbdAllah, who said: I have been sent with the sword between my hands to ensure that no one but Allah is worshipped, Allah who put my livelihood under the shadow of my spear and who inflicts humiliation and scorn on those who disobey my orders.

"Silent Jihad" is a concept that works on several levels. Silent Jihad refers to each persons personal and inner struggles or "Jihad" In the Arabic language the word Jihad literally means "to struggle" It was said by the Prophet Muhammad (May the Peace and Blessings of Allah (Subhana WA Ta'alla) that the greatest jihad is the jihad of ones self. As human beings Allah (Subhana WA Ta'alla) has created us with ailments and afflictions in which to test us. Each person fights their internal and "Silent Jihad" by themselves.

A Muslims Silent Jihad can be any struggle they have, mental illness, sexuality disorders, compulsive lying compulsive, eating, gambling, drinking, drugs, each person on this planet has this ailment as a test from Allah (Subhana WA Ta'alla)

The Prophet Muhammad (May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "If you did not have wrong actions, Allah would remove you and replace you with a people who did have wrong actions, so that they could seek Allah's forgiveness and He could grant them His forgiveness." (Muslim)
The difference between Muslims and the Kafr (unbelievers) is that Muslims realize that these are tests from Allah (Subhana wa Ta'alla) and understand to stray from them and when we fail, and sin, we know that we have upset Allah (Subhana wa Ta'alla) and beg his forgiveness.

Sinful humans are not shunned or hated by Allah (Subhana WA Ta'alla). In fact His intense love for them can be gauged when he calls these sinful
"O Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful" (39:53).
The path to forgiveness and repair is always open. Whoever spreads his hands to Allah (Subhana WA Ta'alla) is never disappointed. He will never return empty handed. After all, His possessions are unlimited, His mercy boundless and His charity limitless. But, one should never be arrogant. It is not that Allah (Subhana WA Ta'alla) feels happy on your return because you are an indispensable asset to Him. Far from it He has no wants and needs. None is indispensable. Another form of arrogance is to spend one's youth committing all types of sins while thinking that one will make up for them during the last days of one's life by asking Allah's forgiveness.

Although the above is the main idea behind the term Silent Jihad it also underlining meanings, It is a duty when the call is for Jihad is made that each and every able bodied Muslim should is commanded to fight Jihad "fees a bee' Allah (for the sake of Allah) Today we live in a state where the enemies of Islam far outnumber the Muslims in arms, and in numbers, and a typical war is an obvious loss. And without the support Allah (Subhana WA Ta'alla) we are sure to fail. A Muslim should first arm himself with Taqwa and then with the sword. And when with the sword." Why does the rabbit not fear the panther?" "The rabbit does not fear the panther because he is smarter than the panther." The only way to beat the panther is to outsmart him, otherwise you will loose. This is the other side of Silent Jihad, these days Jihad in a loud and public way will never bring success, and will never bring change, silently, and being smarter than the panther is the only way to win. And win we shall.

Almighty Allah (Subhana WA Ta'alla) says: "O ye, who believe, what is the matter with you, that when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, ye cling so heavily to the Earth! Do ye prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the hereafter. Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place; but Him ye would not harm in the least. For Allah hath power over all things."
