Methyl soyate is a chemical byproduct of soybean oil, and is used as an additive in diesel fuels. (See biodiesel.) It interests me as a symbol whose ethos is connected with two contradictory politics.
I live in Bloorcourt Village, an area of Toronto, Ontario in the Dominon of Canada. My husband and I moved to the neighbourhood in June, 2004, and discovered it over-run with mice. We lived in Parkdale for three years prior, vermin-free. I was originally born in Markham, Ontario, to parents and Grandparents who are also native Ontarians.
I identify with the group Queer Wikipedians, and my gender is male. The hospital down the way asks me what my religion is, but I politely decline to answer.
I attend the Ontario College of Art & Design, four kilometres down the road from my home. When it's warm, I prefer to make my commute on a bicycle. In winter, long-johns, hats and parkas make walking more practical.
This year I battled Hodgkin's Disease, and am now in remission.
