Talk:Opposition to the Charest government
Appearance
Incorrect title
[edit]I firmly believe the article should be titled "opposition to the quebec liberal government", with possibly a parenthesis precision.
Neutrality in dispute
[edit]- This article provides a very unbalanced and biased view of the subject, with no attempt made at presenting opposing viewpoints. It appears to violate the guidelines in Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and may even constitute content forking. Even the article title strikes me as POV. Skeezix1000 18:36, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- You're right: this is a content fork and the title is inherently POV. I suggest merging it to Jean Charest. Thanks for bringing the article to everybody's attention: I came across it some time ago and thought something ought to be done, but I didn't have time at the moment and, of course, completely forgot about it. - I don't even know where to start with this article. None of it is sourced, and much of it consists of overly broad and unsubstantiated claims. Yes, the Charest government has been quite unpopular, but this article appears to have been written by a PQ militant. I haven't been following the ups and downs of the Charest government closely enough to help craft a balanced, NPOV article. Unless someone comes up with a better solution, it might be best to redirect it to Jean Charest, as Indefatigable suggests, while placing the existing text here on the talk page, so that someone could, if so motivated, take a crack at fixing this article. Or maybe draft a short stub, with a new article title, with the problem sections moved to the talk page. Skeezix1000 13:34, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
- Really, the whole article could pretty much be compressed into a paragraph or two.Habsfannova 19:52, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
- Given that even the title is problematic, I'll simply redirect it to Jean Charest. If someone wants to take a crack at writing a NPOV article, they can reverse the redirect. Skeezix1000 21:16, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
