"Room" to Hall"

[edit]

Hope I didn't offend anyone with this change, but the Italian name for this chamber is the Sala Clementina and sala translates to hall not room. Stanza means room (Cf. Stanza della Segnatura or Room of the Segnatura"). Sumergocognito 04:35, 25 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

section on frescos

[edit]

By way of pennance for moving the article without asking, I added a section on the artistic program of the interior.Sumergocognito 05:14, 25 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

JPII's meeting

[edit]

Given that there's not a square foot of the Vatican that hasn't been witness to great events, and that the Clementine Hall itself no doubt has a storied history and that we already discuss this event in a much better place: Relations of Pope John Paul II with the Jewish People, could we 86 it here? Such a specific discussion seems a bit particular.Sumergocognito 05:26, 25 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You will find yourself rapidly ascending in favor in the eyes of many if you 86 such discussion any and everywhere you find it except in the Relations of Pope John Paul II with the Jewish People article. The only caveat is to make sure you're prepared to fight off Internet sock puppets (behaving with the intelligence of socks with buttons sewn onto the toes). Tomer TALK 09:22, May 25, 2005 (UTC)
