Should this not be a "weapon article" rather than a "Japan-related article"?

and wasn't the smallest of japanese swords called tanto?

difference from a tanto

[edit]

Some quick research (though lacking in appropriate, public domain material) seems to indicate that an aikuchi (or aiguchi, both are more or less technically correct, a native speaker might pronounce it either way) is similar to a tanto, but lacks a hand guard.

I don't get it

Is this a weapon or a part of a weapon? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.172.233.90 (talk) 03:53, 28 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

You were right, the article had some contradictory info, but I have added a few more sentences to remove this contradiction. Siliconov 08:44, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's no references here. No links, nothing. We have a picture and a bunch of information, that's it. Someone fix this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.165.78.136 (talk) 22:19, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
