Extremism claims
[edit]This article needs to be edited for content of links and see alsos. Robert Brock of CEC Entertainment is not the same Robert Brock that is being linked here. Robert Brock of CEC is from Topeka KS and is a Democrat, a Tau Kappa Epsilon frat brother and a very well respected buisness man. I am sure once Mr. Brock's lawyers are aware of the claims put forth on wikipedia they will bring a libel suit.
Copyright vio claims
[edit]I reworded the passages suggested to be similar to the Nizkor article. Sam Spade 09:47, 21 May 2005 (UTC)
- I am sceptical about the development of this article. This article started off a text from a web site that explicitly states "if you use material beyond a normal quotation, you must always ask the author for permission" and "the usage of these encyclopedic entries always and without exception requires permission by the respective author. [...] For usage without permission, we reserve the rights to claim fees and to take legal actions" (very rough translations). I do not think that we are in the clear just because it's a translation that was somewhat reworded subsequently. The only thing this does is make it harder for editors to detect that it is derived from a copyrighted work that we don't have permission to use. I'd rather start from a clean slate.
- FWIW, I suggested to the author of the article that he ask the organization or author in question for permission. I haven't heard back from him yet. Rl 10:24, 21 May 2005 (UTC)
Many thanks Sam for rewording the passages in question!
I intentionally concentrated on the german IDGR version, forcing myself to find my own phrases so I would not get too close to either the nizkor or the IDGR wording, not knowing that this is also a copy right violation.
As you suggested, RI, I contacted the IDGR administration and sent them a copy of the article with the request to give us permission to use the informations on wikipedia. I will post their feedback on the talk page.
I'm sorry for the inconveniences and will do my best to avoid mistakes like that in the future! Pharlap 16:35, 21 May 2005 (UTC)

Ich bin ansonsten sehr restriktiv, was Weiterveröffentlichungen betrifft.

Would somebody please translate this e-mail into English for those Wikipedians who can't read German, and then remove this comment? Thanks. I added her name to the IDGR link and the date as requested. Please notice that she acknowledged that my translation wasn't a 1:1 translation and that I set a different focus and that I added additional informations, anyway, the copy right claims are out of the way :=)

Caution
[edit]Check this Robert Brock (CEC Entertainment) as to his other pursuits. Thanks! --Stormbay (talk) 22:38, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not convinced this article refers to one man. We have sources cites his rampant racism. And the article itself describes him as the founder of Chuck E Cheese. I have found information on Robert L. Borck, fouder of Chuck E. Cheese and information on the extremist Robert L. Brock, but I have not seen a single other source that convolutes the two. Can we confirm there is only one Robert Brock? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.6.27.23 (talk) 20:42, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
- I really don't think the "pizza" Brock is the same guy as the "racism Brock." I've scene nothing that indicates there the same person, this entire entry should be deleted...immediately. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.197.71.189 (talk) 16:33, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
