Deletion of paragraph about grammatical gender of the French word?

A paragraph in the section on the etymology of the English word concerns the grammatical gender of the word in French, which seems to have been translated (with a number of grammatical errors) from the French page. Should this paragraph be deleted (rather than corrected) since it is of very little relevant to the English page? Loris Bennett (talk) 15:57, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Loris Bennett:, I've removed it. No reason for English Wikipedia to go into detail about a word in French. Plantdrew (talk) 16:57, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
