Hey, its what I do ;) (Sam Spade | talk | contributions) 16:01, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for helping revert the spam from the anon. I reverted some myself because France is on my watchlist. Happy editing! ~~ShiriTalk~~ 21:27, May 17, 2005 (UTC)

It's not easy being red

[edit]

Hey Austrian,

I've been seeing your face over at AfD for a while now. You make good, sensible contributions to the discussion there, and I appreciate that. I ask for one favor: stick something on your user page, just to make that red link go away, will ya? Even "This is the user page of User:Austrian" would make me happy.

Thanks, hope to see you around some more. Fernando Rizo T/C 20:55, 11 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal

[edit]

Over here you warned a guy that he'd be blocked for vandalism. He's vandalizing again. Can we have him blocked, please? Jdavidb 20:53, 20 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I asked because I assumed you were an admin. Not sure, though; as you've been around since April. Jdavidb 20:55, 20 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

No, I am not an administrator. Read Wikipedia:Vandalism#Dealing_with_vandalism, then go to WP:AIV. --Austrian 21:33, 20 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

subst:

[edit]

Hey. I just substituted your use of {{afd2}} on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joseph young. The previous version , here, was impossible to edit as the [edit] link on the right pointed to Template:afd2. To avoid this, you need to use subst: i.e. {{subst:afd2|pg=PAGENAME|text=whatever}} ~~~~ See Wikipedia:Template namespace#Dynamic or subst. Cheers. Flowerparty 16:24, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the hint. I must have forgotten about "subst". --Austrian 18:32, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WP:CP

[edit]

Hi, you've reported copyright infringements to WP:CP in the last week, a new measure was recently passed to allow the speedy deltion of new pages that are cut and paste copyvios. Please follow these instructions if you come across this type of copyvio. Thanks. --nixie 23:58, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Blatant copyright infringements may now be "speedied"

If an article and all its revisions are unquestionably copied from the website of a commercial content provider and there is no assertion of permission, ownership or fair use and none seems likely, and the article is less than 48 hours old, it may be speedily deleted. See CSD A8 for full conditions.

After notifying the uploading editor by using wording similar to:

{{nothanks-sd|pg=page name|url=url of source}} -- ~~~~

Blank the page and replace the text with

{{db-copyvio|url=url of source}}

to the article in question, leaving the content visible. An administrator will examine the article and decide whether to speedily delete it or not.

Thanks for the hint, but I do not understand the instructions:
  • Blank the page -- easy. I can do that.
  • and replace the text with {{db-copyvio|url=url of source}} -- easy, too.
  • to the article in question -- what?!? "replace the text with BLA to the article in question"? I don't get it.
  • leaving the content visible. -- what content are you talking about? I just erased the content. Only the {{db-...}} thingy is visible now!

Ernst Jandl

[edit]

Hy! I "erweitert" Ernst Jandl - but for my sorry my english is not very good, so someone should correct the text. The sense of what I wrote hopefully will be understood, so that someone can replace my faulty sentences with better explanations. Probably this one is you? Just asking, because your username lets me think that you could probably be interested in austria-related articles like this one? I hope you understood me now, because I know I already made a few mistakes again - that's just because I don't know enough words, so I miss the right definitions ;-) Greets -- Otto Normalverbraucher 00:31, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

January 2006 Articles

[edit]

I've had some discussion with admin about this already. Though the January 2006 pages (each day) don't exist yet, there are hundreds of date-specific 2005, 2004, and 2003 pages. Example.. see January 26, 2005 page.. which I just "upgraded" (added some templates to all Jan'05 pages). I suppose all pages from past years could be merged...? The format I'm implementing seems much more expandable and formal, though. drumguy8800 - speak? 23:38, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh man! I just noticed something.. on all those previous date-related pages, they'd just placed {{January 26, 2005}} etc so the page would show within a header on the month page. Arg, time to go revert edits now. I agree with you then.. everything's getting dropped. drumguy8800 - speak? 23:41, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You...

I'm going to edit in "boobies" in a Lincoln quote now, so I'll be talkin to ya in 365 days!

I did not. Please read your talk page carefully. I wrote a message about your edit to Tim Lebel in April 2006. User:timrem added a welcome message today. --Austrian 13:13, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can I ask you why you really fucking care this bit of information that you have to revert it over and over again? My contribution is historically significant, So do me a favor stop busting my fucking balls and leave the goddamn thing alone. Misterrick 01:02, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

So far, I have reverted your contribution only once. It is you who has reverted the page December 30 already 4 times in less than 24 hours. I have explained my reason on the relevant talk page, and I invite you to explain your motivation there. --Austrian 01:14, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I know all about the three revert rule and for your fucking information I wasn't the one who started this revert/edit war User:CalendarWatcher was so why don't you go over to their talk page and scream at them about it and stop wasting my fucking time because I don't need to deal with this bullshit. Misterrick 01:19, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, based on [1], it appears that our mutual friend has an anger-management problem. I have filed the appropriate report on the Three-revert Rule reporting page. --CalendarWatcher 09:17, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
