European Union Olympic medals count for 2004

[edit]

Hi there,

I wonder would you consider reversing your decision to delete this article. I have substantially rewritten it. A united EU team is not going to happen. I've discussed potential EU co-operation towards the olympics, and kept the table. I believe the table is valid, for us Europeans/EUians to see how the area has fared as a whole. Please comment on my talk page if you still feel the article should be deleted.

TCHS

[edit]

Hey Ah Shuang, would you mind helping me out and get the school anthem for The Chinese High School. I haven't sung it for a year, so can't remember anything more than the 1st stanza, you should have access to TCHS propaganda, help out, OK? Oh and add that for HCI too, though I refuse to have anything to do with that interloper school. :) -Hmib 04:06, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Ah Shuang, help me do the CHS school song, please! -Hmib 04:34, 11 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Ang Wee Hiong.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --Tawker 00:17, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Meetup on 24 November

[edit]

Hello, please confirm yourself for the meetup on the 24th by November 18. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please list them at the meetup page yourself. Thanks. --Terence Ong (C | R) 04:23, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The bottom of the page where it was copied from says, "Copyright © 2006 Thomson Healthcare. All rights reserved. USP DI ® and Advice for the Patient ® are registered trademarks of USP used under license to Thomson MICROMEDEX. Information is for End User's use only and may not be sold, redistributed or otherwise used for commercial purposes."

So the information on that page is not created by the US Federal government, but a private company. Thus it is not in the public domain. It is possible for information found on US Federal govenment websites to be copyrighted if the text came from a privately-owned source in the first place; this appears to be the case here. Hi there. Thanks for stepping in, and I'm sorry if you got an "Edit conflict"—I think we were both editing the page simultaneously. Do you think the SD notice may be removed? Fvasconcellos 14:22, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Ang_Wee_Hiong.jpg

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Ang_Wee_Hiong.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 12:30, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Chinese_high_logo.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Chinese_high_logo.PNG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 02:07, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Temp Notes

[edit]

- Power Source can use Electric Vehicles, no-maint batts, fuel cells. - electric lights - LED technologies

A tag has been placed on File:Chinese high logo.PNG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
