Recording and production section typo
[edit]"though according to Kiedis Smith was convinced" passage in Recording and production section is grammatically and logically flawed, someone else's name should go before Kiedis Smith, but I'm unable to ascertain from context or source as it is a book source216.113.160.68 (talk) 10:41, 21 December 2017 (UTC)
Sold
[edit]Sold 17 million? Any source? On the Californication page, it says that Californication is their best selling album, even though it only sold 15 million http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:wINBkbq55DIJ:prince.org/msg.--188.26.60.61 (talk) 01:49, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
Blood Sugar Sex Magik Tour and Frusciante's departure
[edit]While it is appropriate to mention the tour of the album, and the leaving of a significant member during that tour, I feel that the section is too detailed for this article and the bulk of the material would be more appropriate in either Red Hot Chili Peppers or Red Hot Chili Peppers. I think it fails FA criteria 4 and GA criteria 3 (b) - "stays focused on the main topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style)" as the article is about the album, not what happened on the tour after the album was made. Infobox Limit?
[edit]@Jayron32:Exactly where, how, and why does it say that there has to be a limit of 10 review scores in an album's infobox anyway? Seriously. Look, I get that there shouldn't be too many things in an infobox, but does it really matter if there's just one more?--Neateditor123 (talk) 18:37, 5 November 2018 (UTC)Neateditor123
- Do I really need to insult you by directly quoting the page? Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Album article style advice#Album ratings template was already linked in the edit summary I left you. To quote that page and section, sentence #1 of paragraph #2 of that sections states, and I quote (bold mine): "Include no more than ten reviews in table form." If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. If there are any other guidelines I can quote for you, I will do so as needed. --Jayron32 18:49, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Jayron32:OK, fine. I'm sorry if I came off a little harsh beforehand. It's just that I wasn't really aware of that restriction beforehand and was confused. Again, while I do fully understand what the guideline says, I don't know how adding just one more review could really affect anything. In any case, though, I will make sure to not exceed the 10-review limit in the future.--Neateditor123 (talk) 22:59, 5 November 2018 (UTC)Neateditor123
- The thing is, there needs to be SOME reasonable limit, because if 11 is not that much more of a big deal than 10, then 12 is no big deal over 11, and 13 is no big deal over 12, and 145 is not that much more than 144. See? We need to set some arbitrary limit. Or your argument for adding just one more means there is no limit, and now we have a stupid number of reviews. 10 is already a huge number as it is, the 11th doesn't add much more value to the article over the 10 already in that box, see? If you do believe that your particular review is somehow more important than one of the other ten, perhaps replace one of the less reliable ones with yours? --Jayron32 17:28, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
