Hi. I'm a fifth year computer science student at RIT. I've got an interest in all things computers, as well as interests in technology, science, music and the law. I know a fair bit about computers and programming. I'm also fairly knowledgeable about copyrights, patents, and trademarks (in the US anyhow).
I'm a firm believer in free software, though I also understand the need for proprietary software. I believe the patent system in the US is badly in need of reform, and copyright system in is out of control. We should go back to the Founders' Copyright system and repeal the DMCA.
I love wikipedia and have used it practically every day since I heard about it. I don't contribute much, but I am a real person :), you can find me under this username all over the web (I don't believe in using your real name as the username, though I understand why people do, especially on a site like wikipeida). I think I just got the kick in the pants I needed to start contributting more, so I'll probably go take a look at Category:Image files for cleanup or Category:Images for redraw :D.
