[edit]As far as I know, Nedvěd never officially retired from the national team, he simply was not nominated due to his health problems. At a press conference prior to the play-off match against Norway on Nov,3 2005 manager Karel Brückner stated: ""Nedvěd isn't coming back, he is simply nominated. I always had him on my list, he was never sort out of the national team". --84.150.2.104 23:27, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
What?
[edit]The article states:
"He then retired shortly after the World Cup, his last international match ending in a 19-11 win against Serbia."
A 19-11 win against Serbia, what? It was a 3-1 win for Serbia, someone correct this please. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.107.83.192 (talk) 04:46, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
His Kneecaps
[edit]I just read this very questionable rumor, that he has kneecaps that consist of 3 parts " Pavel Nedvěd heeft unieke knieschijven. Volgens bondsarts Petr Krejci is hij de enige man met knieschijven die uit drie delen bestaan, een zogenaamde patella-tri-partitia. De bijzonderheid werd ontdekt toen Nedvěd in 1996 van Sparta Praag naar Lazio Roma verhuisde." Translation: according to Czech FA doctor Petr Krejci it was discovered in 1996 that he has something known as "patella-tri-partitia". I don't have any real reliable citation, nor do i know if this condition even exists. But it sounds noteworthy. 82.73.93.89 (talk) 11:36, 25 November 2007 (UTC) from the patella article on wiki: "The patella ossifies between the ages 2-6 years. In some people it may be absent congenitally or hypoplastic. In 2% of the population there is a bipartite patella, which is usually asymptomatic." So 3 parts might be possible too. 82.73.93.89 (talk) 11:41, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Al-ittihad
[edit]Nedved has strongly denied to be willing to play for Al-ittihad in the future. He said that he will spend the remainder of his career in Juventus. http://www.goal.com/it/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=307733 (In Italian)
"la fine della carriera la vedo molto vicina. O resto per un anno o smetto: non sono uno che cerca ingaggi negli Emirati, se correrò ancora sarà qui, con la Juve"
"The end of my career as a football player is near. Either I'll play for another year or I'll quit: I'm not looking for a deal in the Emirates, I'm not that kind of person. If i'll still be running on the pitch it will be here, with Juventus"
I've now edited the page accordingly Murador 09:54, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Nedved.jpg
[edit]Image:Nedved.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Birthday and age
[edit]How come his age is still showing as 35 today? I tried to manually alter it but it seems to be based on an algorithm and cannot be manually altered. Martyn Smith (talk) 11:11, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Retired or not?
[edit]Quotes from Nedved opens to speculations that he isn't neccesarely retired, but could play for another club. The Guardian [1] even says he could join Inter, although that's the first time I have heard something like that. Aediasse (talk) 18:07, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Possible vandalism
[edit]190.174.200.175 appears to have been committing some factual errors on the football articles around Wikipedia. (S)he recently made a recent change to the current article (here), which appears to be more of the same. I would revert this, but there are some conflicting edits afterwards, and I'm not sure whether any of the newer edits are vandalism too.
I wonder whether somebody more knowledgeable on Pavel Nedvěd could have a look?

Last international match
[edit]Pavel played his last international match against Serbia ,not Serbia and Montenegro. It was the first game Serbia played as independent country. FloydBG —Preceding undated comment added 12:51, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Verifiability, not truth. The BBC reference says "Serbia and Montenegro". Do you have a source that it was Serbia's first game? C679 15:22, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
Out of retirement?
[edit]fk skalna did had the press photo of the Nedvěd's signing, but just as ceremonial role? Matthew_hk tc 05:12, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
- Let's see if he actually plays a match. Nazgul02 (talk) 23:06, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
