Hi Uvarov, and welcome to Wikipedia.

Thankyou for finding the time to sign up and contribute to our little project. If you're in doubt about anything, you might want to check out some of these pages:

It's also a good idea to sign the new user log and add a little about yourself.

When contributing to a talk page, you can sign your name by typing four tildes after your comments, like this: ~~~~. (Just so you know, some people won't pay attention to unsigned comments).

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me at my talk page, or at the Help desk or Village Pump.

Above all, make sure you be bold when contributing, and have fun!

Hello, that was kind even if it was an standard message. :) Uvarov 09:38, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Hey there Uvarov, good to see another Tassie resident here :) Check out my user page for a range of Tassie-related articles that I've created, and (as always) could do with any additions you can offer! -- Chuq 10:41, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Will do, not sure how much I can offer though. Still, no harm in trying. --Uvarov 10:55, Sep 21, 2004 (UTC)

Thankyou for the thankyou! Regarding your question about new lines, a new line will only appear when you add a blank line inbetween. More at Wikipedia:How to edit a page#Sections, paragraphs, lists and lines. T.P.K. 10:45, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Great, I can use < br> instead! Thanks for the quick reply. --Uvarov 10:55, Sep 21, 2004 (UTC)

City article template

[edit]

Hey there, I don't think there is any set layout.. I've had a look at the other cities, and Brisbane is a good example (so far as the sections covered) and Melbourne is a good example as it has lots of detail. If you aren't sure, just add the information anyway - myself or someone else can come and format it later. -- Chuq 01:27, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)

  • Ok, but I was thinking more along the lines of something smaller - I doubt I'll be able to get that much about Burnie or Devonport, for example. Still, there is a community out there, so it'll be pretty hard not to get it right in the end. --uvarov 03:24, Oct 3, 2004 (UTC)
    • Uvarov, I was inspired by your question and rewrote (and expanded) Hobart. Check it out for ideas! -- Chuq 00:09, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Hobart area articles

[edit]

Hello, in advance of a possible project in the Hobart area, we're looking to identify and improve a specific range of articles, mainly those associated with locations in the Hobart City Council region. If you'd like to find out more, please join in the discussion at WikiProject Tasmania, or check out the list of articles at QR list. If you'd prefer to not receive these notifications in the future, please let me know.
