Name: 'Eniwetok' vs 'Enewetok'
[edit]The atoll's name is spelled with an 'e' - Enewetok. In fact, the Wikipedia article on the Atoll itself uses the correct spelling (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enewetak_Atoll). So if the battle took place at the atoll, then why is the name of the atoll spelled wrong in the Battle article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.199.119.77 (talk) 17:18, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
Usage of the term "Delivered"
[edit]I'm going to assume it means "assaulted with", but "delivered" seems vaguely euphemistic. Can anyone think of a suitable replacement? 86.19.209.84 (talk) 01:59, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
"KIA"
[edit]In the caption of the photograph where the soldier exhibits the thousand-yard stare, it states "He was KIA at 19, March 24, 1944..." What does KIA mean?Radioactive Feces (talk) 02:12, 10 May 2017 (UTC)

Proportionally large number of POWs
[edit]Is that notable or just the vagaries of war? MyIP19216811 (talk) 00:49, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
