So he shot it before he set off from America in 1920?
- Rollo Beck? Yes, this is correct. There were none left when he left.Dysmorodrepanis 05:10, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
Removed illustrations
[edit]There has been a discussion about the removal of two illustrations. I have collected them under a single headline. RhinoMind (talk) 15:51, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Please give a correct lable at Commons. Neither Brehm nor Audubon have known the Guadalupe Caracara (Audubon was already dead when the Guadalupe Caracara was first described) --Melly42 (talk) 06:44, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- That it wasn't scientifically named doens't mean it wasn't known. The article also states it was common by 1876, the year given for it's naming. There's also the possibility that the year of description in the article refers to when it was moved from Polyborus. FunkMonk (talk) 17:39, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
- The Guadalupe Caracara was discovered in the 1870s so Audubon was not able to illustrate this bird --Melly42 (talk) 15:49, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
Why was the images removed? When I look at them at WikiCommons, their copyrights have expired and they should be free to use. As I was reading the article, I was curious of this birds looks and its physical characteristics. At least I was glad to find two illustrations here on TalkPage, but shouldn't they be in the article itself? And if not, then why not?
I assume the discussion "Images" above is not about why the images was removed from the page, as it is concerned about the correct categorization of the images. Such a discussion belongs to WikiCommons, not Wikipedia. RhinoMind (talk) 15:51, 19 August 2015 (UTC)
