Eminem hasn't released a solo studio album on Shady other than the 8 mile soundtrack and The Re-Up.

[edit]eminem show came in third for album of the decade by billboard based solely on performance on album charts but it lost to no strings attached by n'sync. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thatguy810 (talk • contribs) 06:50, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
Censored word in "Hailie's Song"
[edit]There are two conflicting stories in this article. One says that the censored line is "want her", and the other says "abort her", in the trivia section. The first has a link to a youtube video as a source, but the youtube video was "reconstructed" from the original file by trial and error and isn't necessarily accurate. But it is proof at least that it could be possible. So until someone gets some proof either way, I'm removing the line in trivia about "abort her", and I'm editing the first to reflect the reality of its questionability. 206.225.143.51 (talk) 21:25, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Certification
[edit]As 10×Platinum is more accurate than Diamond, we prefer to use 10×Platinum. Consider this - Diamond means everything above 1,000,000. 10×Platinum means between 1,000,000 and 1,100,000, since then it becomes 11×Platinum. In this case the sources are very clear and it was certified 10×Platinum. Please stop changing it. --Muhandes (talk) 18:05, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Censored Version of Drips??????
[edit]Okay, I checked out the "Censored Version" section and there's something that says "This album allowed no profanities, and the profanities were either muted or back masked. Following this, the censored version even took out entire sentences because they were too sexually charged. In fact, the entire song "Drips" is removed in the clean version and is just heard as four seconds of silence moving on to "Without Me", due to thinking there were so many profanities that editing the song would be pointless. But some copies feature an edited version of "Drips." I don't understand this. Is there actually a Clean version of "Drips" on some copies of this album? I wanna know because on iTunes, "Drips" is just 4-minute silence before "Without Me". Can somebody HELP!?!? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.101.221.8 (talk) 19:58, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
Yes there is a censored version on some copies. Only physical copies, not digital. CFP2016 (talk) 01:27, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
Pitchfork Review
[edit]Can we remove Pitchfork Media's score and excerpt about them from the critical reception section? The review appears to have been written as a joke. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.105.93.125 (talk) 01:25, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
Genre
[edit]According to the project page, when describing the album's genre, AllMusic's sidebar is strictly forbidden. That means I'll have to remove the reference immediately. I'll let you provide another citation mentioning "hardcore hip hop". Unless such quote is found, I think the best solution is to put "hip hop" as the genre.--Вик Ретлхед (talk) 20:53, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
Orphaned references in The Eminem Show
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of The Eminem Show's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Suggestion
[edit]I believe the album should have the genre of rock added as this album includes multiple rock samples and has a large rock influence YZY3000 (talk) 16:50, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
- Influences are not considered as genres. (CC) Tbhotch™ 17:20, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
i worded this wrong, what i meant to say is that 1) the album uses multiple samples from notable rock songs such as dream on by aerosmith on sing for the moment and an interpolation of the drums from we will rock you by queen on till i collapse. 2) the instrumentals have a major use of guitar driven melody’s and on songs like hailie’s song and say goodbye hollywood, eminem uses a distinct melodic style, especially on the chorus of said songs. this is why i think the genre of rock should be added to the album. YZY3000 (talk) 19:20, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
- Unless you can find a source that explicitly call this album a rock album (which would be rap rock), this falls into the WP:Original research category. (CC) Tbhotch™ 19:31, 8 February 2022 (UTC)

i really tried my hardest to link the source but anytime i posted it, it didn't show up on the talk page, even though it said i published it. i asked the teahouse for help but even with trying their advice, it still didn't work. so i will just tell you about the source i found. YZY3000 (talk) 16:17, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
during the 2003 american music awards, the eminem show won the award for best pop/rock album. eminem did not show up at the ceremony himself. because i am unable to link the source, you can look up “ eminem wins best pop/rock album at 2003 american music awards” and you will find a bunch of sources relating to it. Expanded Edition
[edit]Should it be added here or have its own wiki page?
I would think here because its a version of this same album — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:FD:701:8881:4916:6F2E:811B:4666 (talk) 11:13, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
why i am putting rock as a genre on this page
[edit]1. this album has stronger uses of guitars than other eminem albums. 2. songs like white america and sing for the moment are clearly rock influenced. 3. if cherry bomb by tyler the creator can be classified as rock while having hip hop tracks in it, so should this album.
i am adding this genre to the info box as of now and if anyone has any counter arguments or extra points they can reply to this post. thank you for reading and have a good day. CG7000 (talk) 13:56, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
